Victoria To Play Diana Morales In A Chorus Line

Victoria has just announced that she is to play Diana Morales in A Chorus Line in The Palladium Theatre, London from Tuesday February 5th 2013 for a limited 5 month run.

With a huge hype in London over the return of the 9 time Tony Award winning musical, the producers announced  open auditions for the "chorus line", hundreds flocked to the Palladium lining up as early as 6am!

Victoria landed the part of Diana Morales,a hispanic, aspiring actor with a rough edge and rides the bumpy road through theatre school making friends and enemies during the course of the show. Morales leads two of the key musical numbers within the show; "What I did for Love" and the electric "Nothing".

We are all very excited to see Victoria, Jon Partridge and Scarlett Strallen tap, sing and act their way through this marvelous musical full of the highs and lows of being a performer and going through the audition process.

The opening of the show has been described as a fitting tribute to the shows original composer Marvin Hamlisch who sadly passed away in August 2012.

Now a message from the Lady herself,

I'm looking very forward to being a part of 'A Chorus Line' and joining the rest of the cast and creatives for what seems will be a very fun job to do. Once again I will be diving back in to a leotard and trainers so I better get my body prepared and get the strength back which the show requires. It will be a tough rehearsal process and everyone will be worked to the limit as that's what the choreography demands. But I can't wait for you all to see the show as it has been 35 years since it was last in the Westend........Hope you all enjoy, I know I will.

Tuesday 9 October 2012

Sunday the 7th October and Victoria takes to the stage for Giggin4Good's third showcase. Victoria looked stunning in her knee length, high necked blouse style dress. Victoria's first song was a soul classic by Nina Simone called 'Feeling Good'

Victoria started singing and a total silence fell among the audience as she belted out the song, clearly enjoying every moment. Victoria looked very much the professional up there, beautifully highlighted by Matthew McFarlane's initial subtle Lighting which grew from a moonlight haze to a summers day state with the song. Victoria took her bow and the audience erupted into applause and cheers.

Victoria’s 2nd number of the evening fell in the second act, this time Victoria rocked out with Queens 'The Show Must Go On' well what can we say another song totally suited to Victoria's voice, she totally blew everyone away one again filling the church with a mass of cheering and applause.

We wish Victoria every success for any upcoming projects.

A True Star who delivers every single time.

Bohemian Rhapsody - July 14th 2012- Eastbourne

Tonight after a long wait we finally managed to see Victoria in her current show Bohemian Rhapsody at The Congress Theatre in Eastbourne. We entered a large auditorium which housed a buzzing atmosphere of people eager for the show to start. We found our seats and settled down eager to watch the show. Showcasing the songs of Freddie Mercury and Queen through a ridiculousy talented cast of performers including Johnathan Ansell, Lucinda Shaw, Rachel Wooding and of course Victoria to mention but a few. All dressed to impress in flamboyant costumes of varying genres, from hard grungy rock to edgy wedding wear during the finale. Victoria dedicated one of her first songs "You're my best Friend" to us which was very sweet and shows how much she appreciates her fans and how much it means to her that each and everyone of you support her in what she does best! Highlights of the evening included Victoria's raunchy rendition of "killer queen", proving to all that she would make an excellent killer queen in the west end. Followed by Rachel woodings "it's a kind of magic". All together this was a very fun, lively and loud show with a lot of energy in the cast of dancers and singers. A visual and audio spectacular of costumes and an extremely talented live band. Victoria of course gave her all to the show, showing off her amazing vocal talents and pairing them with some wonderfully comic faces. Every song she sang had emotion and feeling to it resulting in her getting a big round of applause after each song. She sang "who wants to live forever" with Johathan Ansell it was powerful and evocative and their voices blended well together with nice harmonys. The night ended on a high with everyone up out of their seats, singing and dancing along to Queen classics Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are The Champions and of course We Will Rock You. Everyone left buzzing and there were many comments from the departing audience on how much they enjoyed the show. We certainly can't wait to see what is next for the wonderful Victoria.
